The Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) launched its annual Mobile Marketing Forum this week at the Grand Hyatt in New York.
Representing over 700 member companies worldwide, the organisation held the two-day event on Tuesday and Wednesday to highlight how companies can bring themselves closer to their target market.
Such sectors as branding, consumer engagement, social media and mobile customer relationship management (CRM) were discussed, emphasising how the increasingly popular mobile communications market can help a company better reach its target market.
On the opening day, president and chief executive of the MMA Mike Wehrs said: "The mobile marketing channel has taken some big steps over the last year and the Mobile Marketing Forum has started off strong today with some incredible speakers sharing their success stories and discussing hot topics for the mobile industry."
The MMA is a global non-profit organisation which aims to create a sustainable environment for mobile operators and establish best practice.
