Healthcare organisation takes Centennial software

Yorkshire's The Health Informatics Service has chosen Centennial Software to deliver its software compliance and network inventory needs, it has been reported.

The organisation has purchased 6,000 units of Centennial SAM Suite to use for IT services in 12 healthcare organisations across southern West Yorkshire, according to TMC.net.

Prior to buying the software asset management application, the service had to send an engineer to various locations to manually carry out a software audit, which could take weeks to cover the whole organisation.

However, The Health Informatics Service can now retrieve this information almost immediately, speeding up the time it will take to make decisions over compliance issues and technology updates.

Neil Asling, information management and technology (IM&T) portfolio manager at The Health Informatics Service, told the news provider: "We can now tell organisations exactly what is on their network from our headquarters, rather than spending unnecessary time and money on sending an engineer to a site to audit the IM&T estate."

The Health Informatics Service supports the region's healthcare organisations by supporting IM&T development and testing out new software solutions.
