Software Asset Management (SAM) Discussion

ISO/IEC 19770-1 Recognised Adopter Program

Investors in Software (www.investorsinsoftware.com) have a Recognised Adopter Program for to help organisations wishing to work towards certification against ISO/IEC 19770-1 standard for SAM.

The Recognised Adopter Programme (RAP) offers a structured methodology and project management to support organisations that are looking to secure certification against ISO / IEC 19770-1.

Investors in Software will appoint a dedicated project manager, whose sole objective will be to help bring your organisation into compliance with the standard. We want to facilitate the process as far as possible and share the lessons learned - so that more organisations can benfit from adoption of the standard.

The RAP scheme provides your organisation with experienced, independent resource to give confidence that you and your chosen SAM partner/service provider are on track for certification.

RAP consists of five stages:

1. Registration: The candidate organisation & Investors in Software discuss requirements, objectives and timeframes for the programme and certification.
2. Business case & Assessment Preparation, including risk-assessment, gap analysis, certification plans and more.
3. Final Readiness Audit, to give confidence and highlight areas for corrective action.
4. Formal Documentation Review with assessor.
5. Final Formal Assessment with assessor / certification body.
